The Orr Family Foundation is committed to honoring the values and beliefs of Bob and Anname Orr. Its resources fund vital programs that support individuals, families, and organizations in need within the Summit County, Ohio community, focusing on creating positive outcomes for future generations. There’s no greater joy or reward than making a difference in someone’s life.
Robert and Annamae Orr
Robert O. Orr (1919-2004) was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado; however, the family relocated to Akron, Ohio when Bob was a young boy.
Annamae Gifford (1921-1996) was born and raised in Akron, Ohio.
After losing his beloved wife, Bob Orr wanted to give back to the community they cherished by creating a foundation dedicated to helping others, particularly those less fortunate or unable to help themselves, and supporting programs that enhance the quality of life in the community.
On August 13, 1998, the Robert O. & Annamae Orr Family Foundation held its first meeting in Akron, Ohio. The founding trustees were Bob Orr, Bruce Buchholzer, Philip Murray, and Michael Stark.
